Ben tried to get the top part of his ear pierced (helix piercing) this morning.  It looks a little bit odd (red + swollen) because the hoop was too large to close?  Hahaha

I watched Ben skate for a bit then we hiked up to a big statue of Buddha, which was very cool. A guy there told us to light some incense (he gave us each a stick) and to say a prayer to Buddha.  Neither of us are very religious but I thought it was a nice spiritual moment.?

We met this cute grandpa + his grandson by the shore.
He asked Ben to take a photo of them on his phone, so of course I had to take my own on mine.

When we returned home, a bunch of other people were there.  They teach and do construction/agricultural stuff at a school in the mountains called Maya Universe Academy.  Ben and I kind of were kind of hoping for the opportunity to teach while out here, so we told them that we were interested in helping them.  But they told us that we would have to pay Rs.1000 ($9.65) a day.  We aren't very interested in "working" for them and paying them.
They invited us to come up with them for a day or so to see how things run there, and if we were still interested we could stay longer.

The “principal“ of the school was kind of an creepy guy.?  He kept asking weird questions like, “what is the story behind your long hair?" or, “ what's the story about your Converse? Your [Basquiat] T-shirt? Your [Exempt Clothing] hat? Your nose ring? And the hair tie on your wrist?”
I told him that I just prefer my hair long, Converse are easy to slip on and are comfy, I like Jean-Michel Basquiat's art, my friend has a clothing company and made this hat so I am supporting her by wearing it, I just wanted to pierce my nose and when I was in India the opportunity arose, and the hair tie was for when I pull my hair back in a bun.
I understand if he was trying to "get to know me" but he didn't ask Ben any questions and these seemed like odd questions?

They had been working all week, so they were relaxing and drinking.  We went to a bar and danced to a couple of songs.
