I woke up this morning with a sore throat and a cough.  Marko calls it 'The Kathmandu Cough": he says the air quality in the city is so bad (most everyone wears masks that cover their faces), that you develop a cough.  He said that every time he goes there, even if it's less than 24 hours, he gets a cough.
"If the locals were masks, don't you think you should too?"  -Marko

When I got out of the shower, Ben was at the skatepark, so I walked to the post office (about 1.5 miles away) to send postcards to my family and my friend Kenna.

Some steezy guy I saw walking to the post office

When I returned, Ben and I went out and he bought himself a pair of hiking boots and backpack, and I bought myself a North Face jacket.
We met a guy called Dion who’s from The Netherlands and is traveling alone.  We talked about skateboarding, trekking, where he's been/going, and later we all went to the movies to watch Catch Me If You Can.
