This morning Ben and I hiked from 5.6 miles back down to Manang about took us about 1.5 hours.
We had momos for lunch, then decided to keep on hiking down because we were feeling good and were making good time.

Passing by Gangapurna Lake, once again.

From Manang, we hiked about 20 miles (took about 2 hours) to Upper Pisang.  It was all downhill/flat, so it wasn't difficult at all and we flew past.  Saw a few people on the way, told them about the storm but knew they were probably a few days away from Yak Kharka and shouldn't worry.

We're not in trouble, just checking in!
We passed permit check stations every little while.
They just look at your permit, make sure you're valid to be hiking in the area,
mark that you were at that station, and send you on your way.

For example: if you got lost they could verify you checked in at station 1, 2, but not 3.

They now know a rough location to search for you.

We didn't stay at the Grand Budapest Hotel this time, one not so far up the hill.  At the teahouse we slept at met some really cool people from Israel!  I've never met someone from there and don't think I've ever even heard someone speak in Hebrew; they also spoke nearly perfect English, which I think is so cool?  We had dal bhat for dinner and talked about our lives back home and what our plans were after the trek, after Nepal, and in the future in general.
Very kind people, I truly wish them the best!
