This morning I saw Bipana drawing a picture of Le Petit Prince, so I jokingly asked her if she was drawing me and she said, "yes this is for you!"  She asked to see some photos on my phone for inspiration on what else to draw, so I said yes.

An artist and her art.

Le Petit Prince Jack
I told her, "you need to sign it!  You're an artist, that's what they do",
so she wrote her name and my name all over.

As she went through my pictures, she clicked on a picture of my friend Austin that had a filter on it that made him look like a girl.  She asks, "is this your mother?" to which I respond that it was.  She said, "Oh!  She beautiful.  May I draw?" to which I reply, "sure!"

Austin, looking pretty.

She also saw a picture of me with a background of roses and asked, "pretty!  I draw?"  I told her I was cool with it:

Picture of me + roses

[For some reason "Zac" isn't a very common name in India or Nepal, so everyone calls me "Jack".  When we introduce ourselves I say, "Hi, I'm Zac and this is Benny" and people repeat, "Hello Jack and Benny"]

who Bipana loves.

After receiving my art, Tom offered to pay for my breakfast at Flying Spirit!  I always get the potatoes, peppers, eggs, and toast.  It's so good here, I'm not even sure why.
Our renter had mentioned yesterday that he would get Ben and I shirts that say 'Happy Holi', but when he actually delivered them, they were way too small hahaha.

I went to Pete’s and filled up water balloons and water guns with colored water, and unexpectedly fired them at people down below.  We were all having so much fun; everyone who we hit would look up and laugh and we'd shout, "Happy Holi!" to each other.
It was kind of funny because everyone at Pete's kind of worked together as a team: someone would fill up the balloons, someone else would tie the balloons, and we'd all kind of throw them at people.  We had to use the squirt guns to fill up the balloons, which was a bit inconvenient.

I'm not sure who the 4 people on the left are,
Ceara and I are on the right,
Alby and Georgia are in the center (filling up water balloons),
and Peter and someone else are "above" me

Karol, Georgia, this guy called Aaron, and I went past Hallen Chowk (main, busy road) to a big "parade" of people throwing chalk and water at each other.  There was a big stage with live music and everyone was dancing: it seriously was so fun!

You throw colored chalk and water at people,
and say, "Happy Holi!" to people.

Our teeth look so white, haha

Throwing up some gang signs, nice.

Karol and I accidentally split away from Georgia and Aaron to get some samosas, but they didn't stop with us...but on the way back we saw Peter, Isis, Alby, Nick, and Ceara going towards Hallen Chowk.  We weren't headed back for any specific reason, so we turned back for round 2.

This guy was trying to take a selfie with me in the background?
I posed with him then took a picture of him.

They had a live band covering songs: “popular” American pop/rock songs, a few rap songs, and plenty Nepali music of course!
While in the crowd, some guy crouched down and pointed to his shoulders, implying for me get on (I assumed): so of course I hopped on and he lifted me up above the crowd, which was so fun.  Everyone was going crazy and at the end of the song he let me down and we hugged, which was a bit random but it just seemed to fit the mood.?

Ben on the other hand wasn't having such a hot day: his girlfriend and him kind of broke up, so he hung out at home because he wasn't in the mood to party

I came home and showered off, and then went to Ceara's (she stays in a room below The Blind Tiger) and talked with her and Isis about a variety of things: Donald Trump, the government, visas, opening your 3rd eye, and multiple dimensions at the same time (pretty much a normal conversation with Isis).

Later, we watched a movie at Pete's called Lion.  It was a really cool story and the cinematography was great; but even though I was only there for a couple weeks, I thought some parts of the movie didn't really seem how India was?  Maybe it's different in the parts shown in the movie.
