Had some fruit for breakfast and then hung out with Ben at his cafe. He realized all of his money was missing?! While he was looking for it, I went out and got some souvenirs for friends back home: endless knot T-shirt for my friend Tim, a bracelet for my friend Brooks, a ring with Buddha Eyes on it for myself, and one with the letter B for my friend Bailey.
Ben found most of his money; some was in his coat pockets and some was at the bottom of his bag. Still a bit that is missing...? We packed/organized our things for the hike; we leave tomorrow. I think I am all ready.?
Today is a festival/holiday called Maha Shivaratri (to my understanding, it's like Lord Shiva’s "birthday"?). People light big fires and people come and celebrate around them. We saw several around town, only went to two.
They put sugar cane stalks in the fire and after a few minutes they take it out and slap it on the ground and it "blows up" and sounds like a firework. Then you eat it! It's a fun time I guess; everyone is especially friendly!
Marko, Ben, Nada (Ben's sister knew her too!), and I went to their friend's bar and then we hung out at Marko's house and talked about the tattoo he's designing for Nada.

a big bonfire we saw. They put huge logs in it to keep it going. You can kind of see the sugarcane stalks in the fire. |

Marko showing us his tattoos. He did his legs all by himself! Says they're good for practice, haha |
